This unit is brand new. The box was opened and the unit was plugged in to make sure it fires up (it does). I can't properly test it because it is the "China Version" and is not compatible with my TV. I believe the "China Version" means that it this unit outputs in a format compatible with Chinese monitors and TV. I don't know if it can be made compatible with US TV/Monitors by simple toggles within the unit (I haven't opened it to check).
